Fast Friday: A Pint and a Poke

What happens when a cereal box icon
Takes a day off?
Yes, in honor of My Birthday aka St. Patricks Day, this week's Fast Friday brings you a tad o' green, a bit o' fun, and of course a pint o' odd. And yes, I know that wins the prize for "most lame introduction ever written" but hey... what can I say?

Oh, I know! How about I make it up to you with something FREE. I'd hate to feel like I can't even GIVE AWAY my book, "Ebin's Heart", so hop on over to Culinary Carnivale where I've done a guest blog and posted a little scavenger hunt to give you fine folks the opportunity to WIN a FREE copy!

There will be another opportunity coming up on the 23rd, but right now I want to give away my story for my birthday! Better hurry! The winner will be picked on the 19th!

Now, for your enjoyment and mine, "Leprechaun one liners and pickup lines".
Author: Brett Williams

"Top o' the evening to ya. Me gots a big pot o' gold and an eye for lovely red-headed lasses such as yourself. How about we go back to my place and look for four-leaf clovers? Maybe we'll get lucky."

About the Author: Brett brings life to the ordinary, and makes reading extraordinary. You can find links to a few samplings of his stories on his WIP (Website in Progress), or you can friend him on Facebook, for regular updates on his projects. He'll also be appearing as my guest over at "The Smudge" in May. Stay tuned in to get your hands on a book of "seductiveistic" short stories, coming soon!
Author: Saranna DeWylde

Is that a pot of gold in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I'd like to see what's at the end of *that* rainbow.

Get yer poke from the wee folk.

Oh, here's a tired one.

"Got any Irish in you? Want some?"

About the Author: Saranna DeWylde pens romance, erotica, and horror. Her book How To Lose A Demon in 10 Days will be on shelves in November 2010 from Dorchester Publishing! You can find out more about her on her website, and/or connect with her on MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter. Stay tuned. She’ll be back here in May to give the low down on all that jazz. Mwahaha!
Author: Charity Smith

Drop the rabbit's foot baby. Rub me and we'll both get lucky!

About the Author: Charity and I go back a long way... Kindergarten, I believe. We've both lost a bit of our youthful innocence, but she still has the power to split my sides with laughter. Stop on in at her blogs: Hidden Treasures of an Oddball Mind, and If I Were King of the Forest, for a little witty repertoire yourself.
I shall end the festivities with a few jokes from the lovely Janice Seagraves, who just happened to post these in the comments of a previous post and wish me a MIGHTY Happy Birthday! Take it away, Janice!

Q: What does a leprechaun call a happy man wearing green?
A: A Jolly Green Giant

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Irish!
Irish Who?
Irish you a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Q: Why do people wear shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day?
A: Regular rocks are too heavy.

A: Because they're always a little short.

Q: Why do leprechauns have pots o'gold?
A: They like to "go" first class!

Q: How can you tell if an Irishman is having a good time?
A: He's Dublin over with laughter!

Q: What's Irish and stays out all night?
A: Patty O'furniture!

Q: How did the Irish Jig get started?
A: Too much to drink and not enough restrooms!

About the Author: Janice Seagraves grew up in a small California town, and married just out of high school. The writing bug hit her late at around twenty. Her art always drew her away from the characters in her head, but after being diagnosed with tendonitis she found doing art work painful. But she could still type, and she at last turned her full attention to writing.

She’s still lives in the same small town where she was born and grew up. Her home is a hundred year old haunted house, where she lives with her husband and daughter, three cats and a pet pigeon that is in love with her husband. Check out her website and blog, and be sure to stop by Pink Petal Books where her story Windswept Shores will be available in June.
That brings us to the end of the special St. Patrick's Day installment of Fast Friday here at my "Blahg".

Don't forget to check out Culinary Carnivale for a chance to win "Ebin's Heart". Then check out the schedule (calender link to the right) for upcoming guests, activities, and places you can find me when I'm not around my own little corner of the world.

And on that note, Drink, Burp, and be Merry... And try out a couple of these pick up lines.
Perhaps you, too, can get lucky!

:D I agree Saranna, I had the hardest time keeping a straight face when prepping the post.

Like that one, Brett? I think I captured the essence in one brand new word. ;)

Do you know according to Blogger you have 16 followers, not just 6. Just thougth I'd share that... as I'm a follower too, but so far not pinned up on your little board... Dunno why, as I clicked "public" not "anonymous" ~~ hey life is a mystery... everyone must stand alone... I hear you call my name... and it feels like home
