It's time to put the smack down.
CRACK!
Ooh, Dessert!
My Fast Friday escapade hasn’t been such a walk in the park. It’s been more of a fighting off lions, hacking through dense underbrush, swatting mosquitoes; all while nursing a broken leg, missing arm, and a concussion sort of thing.Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s grand fun.
But… (yes, there IS always a but)... But *grin* before we get to the big BUT, I give you this week's Whipped participants.

Milk, eggs, bread, there had to be something else, but what? Todd wondered as he stood waiting in line at the checkout counter, hoping his darling wife didn't think of another errand for him to do before he got home from work.

A great big creamy steamy Thank You to all the participants this week. I hope everyone had a good time, and I'll see you...
What?
Oh, yeah… I mentioned a but.
Okay, like I was saying, I really do enjoy the Fast Friday episodes,
BUT
While Fast Friday has been entertaining, I do have a life outside this blog and staying up all hours of the night putting together a blog post that should be fairly easy to compile is burning me out.
I'm tired of fighting to get entries. Tired of watching the clock at 7:42PST wondering who will pull through at the last minute to make that week a success. Tired of creating titles, crafting blurbs, hunting down links at the last minute EVERY STINKING WEEK.
*Heather stops typing and takes a big breath*
Anyway, to get back to what I was saying before I went off on my little rant there…
I, Heather Wildman, glutton for punishment that I am—and apparently I really love all the beatings I take—refuse to give up. However, if you can’t beat the masses into submission, try a different tactic.
The New System:
Though I’ll still accept random entries by the deadline, I’ve decided all the begging, groveling, twisting of arms is wearing me out. What I will do instead is ask for a few volunteers to “opt in” and “sign up” for certain slots. That way, instead of coming up with a unique blurb for each entry each week, I’ll rotate the contributors in a permanent side bar slot. I’ll still post their website link in an about the author section, but that part of it will be on a much smaller scale.
So, I now hand this over to you, dear reader. If anyone wants to opt in, leave me a comment, shoot me an email, message me on Facebook, DM me on twitter, what have you. It’s now up to you to decide if Fast Friday lives or dies.
Because frankly, ladies and gentlemen,
I’M WHIPPED!
